Ross B is from Kansas City Missouri, moved to South Florida to be a beach bum but became an entrepreneur instead. With 19 years of experience in the industry he acts as agent on behalf of RWU's various artists and is arguably the industry's leader in Event MCs/Hosts. Ross lives in Plantation with his wife Ninalicia, (who is also a DJ/Radio Personality on Y100) their daughters Amelia & Charlie, rescued dog KC and cat Jasmine.
What event so far has been the most memorable for you as an MC?Slim was born in New York but has spent most of his life in South Florida, calling Fort Lauderdale home presently. While his knack for numbers led to his studies in finance, economics, and accounting in college, he takes great pride in the fact that his only work in life has been in the entertainment field. Around the office he oversees the operations and finances of the RWU collective, as well as managing the music for events.
What is your musical taste like?Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Blake Cross, has managed to make a name for himself as one of the brightest young saxophonists in Los Angeles, California. In addition to performing regularly at many of LA's hottest venues, he's found himself sharing the stage with some of the world's biggest artists, such as, Gwen Stefani, John Mayer, Christina Aguilera, Robin Thicke, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Aloe Blacc, and Blake Shelton to name a few. Blake received a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University in 2015.
What is your musical taste like?Brittany grew up between New Jersey and Philadelphia and went to Penn State University for Hospitality Management. Right after graduation, she was hired by Marriott to do Social Catering & Events in Boca Raton. About 8 years ago, she was recruited by RWU soon after meeting Ross & Slim at an event. She is our Senior Account Executive who has a great passion for creating events, and loves anything 'wedding'!! Brittany lives in Deerfield Beach with her husband Conrad and her fur-babies, Oliver & Hallie. Brittany spends her free time running, practicing yoga, binge watching Bravo & finding a new restaurant in town to check out!
What is your musical taste like?Elvis was named after his father who was as you may suspect named after the legendary entertainer by his grandmother in Central America before coming to the United States in the 60’s. Elvis truly lives and breathes music; both his father and grandmother are guitarists, his father a longtime gigging musician in South Florida and Elvis himself briefly played drums as a child. Being surrounded by musicians and immersed in live music his entire life you won’t find many people as passionate about it as he is.
Being an organized & detail oriented person, Elvis has years of experience managing employees and event details. At RWU Elvis is one of our booking agent gurus handing making clients visions come to life. He is a natural people person and his positive attitude makes an often-times daunting task seem easy.
What is one track that never gets old for you no matter how many times you hear it?Lorena was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Miami. Being raised in Miami, a melting pot of different cultures exposed Lorena to a variety of different genres of music. Her family was involved in the music industry which gave her an opportunity to be in the event and music business from a young age. She met Brittany and Ross at an event and the rest is history!
Name one song that takes you back to your childhood?Born in Barquisimeto Venezuela, Jhoselyn and her family moved to Orlando when she was 11 years old. After graduating high school she moved to Miami to pursue dancing & study Advertising at FIU. Jhoselyn comes to RWU with experience as a professional dancer and designer.
What is your musical taste like?Jessica is a true South Florida native through and through. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Hospitality Management and dove right into events, obtaining a 10-year background in corporate and social events. Rock With U became a huge part of her life overnight! Being our Event Concierge go-to girl, she has impeccable attention to detail and a true passion for the event industry. She handles all of the final details leading up to your event, making sure everything is set for your special day. Currently, Jessica lives in Parkland with her Pomeranian Luna and has plans to master the art of cooking one recipe at a time!
Who is your favorite artist?Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Tim has 15 years experience in the restaurant & hospitality industry, which is why he refuses to eat at most restaurants. Tim joined Rock With U in 2017 as Production Coordinator. He is an alum of the Kansas City Art Institute and is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family, watch his favorite sports teams, and wonder what it would be like if he started working out!
Name one song that takes you back to your childhood?Shaun was born in Trinidad and Tobago and grew up in South Florida. After college, Shaun focused on building a career in technology and events where he found his passion for high powered events and event technology. On a daily basis you can find Shaun designing an event, planning his next light show, or just being a total event nerd!
Name one song that takes you back to your childhood?Born and raised in New York, Rocio and her family moved to Florida when she was 12 years old. Without ever looking back she couldn’t be more content with the decision her parents made to move to the Sunshine State! We live where you vacation right?! After graduating high school she went to Florida State University.
Being seasoned in administration, office management and client relations Rocio is Studio Manager at RWU. Currently, she lives in Fort Lauderdale with her fur baby Princeton. With a passion for fitness, Rocio spends her free time as a Pure Barre instructor, doing Orange Theory, spinning and pretty much anything to break a sweat! She’s also a 4-legged friend enthusiast, loves the beach and spending time with friends and family <3
Name one song that takes you back to your childhood?"Brando" was raised surrounded by horse farms in rural north central Florida in a town of just a few hundred people. He studied Audio Recording Engineering at Full Sail University in Orlando then moved to Chicago where he began studying photography. He has 15 years in the industry as a musician, sound engineer and photographer.
