With the release of “Live from the Culture Room,” Phil Barnes captures the cornerstone of his talent as an artist - the live performance. Honest, heartfelt lyrics and melodies coupled with rhythmic, percussive guitar work blend seamlessly to define his style. At 22 years old, he’s found his element of delivery as a solo artist - a skill he’s honed on stage, performing over 800 shows since 2010.
Following the release in early 2015, Barnes toured the Eastern US extensively - spending over 5 months on the road to keep up with the demand of fans in each city. Through these efforts, he’s built a loyal following around just his voice and guitar.
Over the past year, Phil has opened for Kelly Clarkson, Jessie J, We The Kings, Nick Jonas and numerous other major-label recording acts in venues across the US.
This fall and winter, Barnes will head to Nashville, TN to work with producer Aaron Krause to record his debut studio album - due out in 2016. In between recording sessions, Phil will return to tour the Eastern college circuit and support artists in new cities throughout the country.
